Download safety and source verification
Ryujinx itself is open-source emulator software, but a familiar name does not make every download page safe. The practical answer is conditional: use the trusted Ryubing source, match the release tag and asset name, keep emulator files separate from keys, firmware and games, and reject APKs or installers that the project does not publish. This guide explains what to verify before you run a file.

Independent guide. No keys, firmware, ROMs, DLC or game files are hosted here.
Start from the Ryubing documentation or Canary release service, not a copied download button.
The current verified tag is 1.3.339, published July 27, 2026. A filename should match its tag and platform.
Windows, Linux, macOS and CPU architectures use different archives. An unexpected EXE or APK is a warning sign.
A clean emulator release does not need to bundle prod.keys, firmware, ROMs, DLC or game updates.
Back up the user folder and test a new Canary build separately before replacing a working installation.
Conceptual source-verification illustration; not a real Ryujinx interface.
The emulator is not automatically unsafe because antivirus software scans or warns about an unfamiliar community build. It is also not automatically safe because a page uses the Ryujinx name. Trust should come from provenance: the expected project host, an exact release tag, a platform-specific asset, and documentation that agrees with the package. This independent site does not repackage binaries and does not host keys, firmware, ROMs or game files.
Open the project documentation and follow its Canary release path. Check the domain, repository or release owner, release tag, publish date and asset filename. For the July 30, 2026 verification, the official Forgejo API returned Canary 1.3.339, published July 27, with Windows x64 and arm64 archives, Linux x64 and arm64 packages, a macOS universal archive and source-code archives. The download CTA on this site uses the verified Windows x64 ZIP direct asset; other platforms should use the matching official asset.
Leave the page when one installer claims to include the emulator, keys, firmware, games and performance fixes together. Other warning signs include forced browser extensions, password-protected archives with no project explanation, countdown pages, shortened links, an APK presented as an official desktop release, or a filename that does not match the release tag. A mirror may copy real screenshots while replacing the final file, so screenshots alone are not proof.

Not necessarily, but do not dismiss the warning. Community software, unsigned archives, self-updaters and new binaries can receive reputation-based alerts. First verify the file came from the expected release asset and compare its size with first-party metadata. Scan the downloaded file with your installed security software. If the source, filename, size or behavior differs, delete it and return to the official release page. This guide does not claim that every file named Ryujinx is clean.
The verified Canary 1.3.339 release assets are for Windows, Linux and macOS; the release does not publish an Android APK. Treat random Ryujinx Canary APK pages as a different and higher-risk intent. Do not sideload an APK merely because it uses the emulator logo or promises better performance. Use the dedicated Android safety guide for claim checking, and wait for a clearly documented first-party Android release before calling any APK official.
Back up the Ryujinx user directory before testing a new Canary build. Keep the new application in a separate folder, launch it with one legally dumped title and change one variable at a time. Never upload private keys, account data or copyrighted game files to a support forum. When reporting a problem, share the build tag, platform, hardware, reproduction steps and sanitized logs instead.
Use the source and package evidence together. A trusted domain with the wrong asset is still the wrong download, while a correct-looking filename on a random mirror is still unverified.
| Source | Action | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Official Ryubing release asset | Use after matching tag, platform and size | Preferred |
| Official documentation link | Use to reach releases and setup guidance | Preferred |
| Third-party mirror | Avoid unless provenance can be independently verified | High caution |
| Bundled keys, firmware or games | Do not download | Reject |
| Unofficial Android APK | Do not call official; verify first-party support | Reject |
Download safety and source verification
It can be safe when you use a verified Ryubing release asset, match the tag and platform, and avoid repacked installers, bundled setup files and unofficial APKs.
Treat Ryubing as a source-verification question. Use its documentation and Canary release service, then verify the exact asset rather than trusting a copied link.
Reputation-based warnings can appear for community or unsigned software. Verify provenance and asset metadata before deciding whether to run the file.
No clean emulator release should bundle those files. Use only keys and firmware legally dumped from your own console.

The verified 1.3.339 release asset list does not include an Android APK. Do not treat random APK pages as official releases.
